The Skills development fund is an initiative of the Association of Specialized Massage Therapists of Quebec, Mon Réseau Plus, to enable its members to continue their education . The objective is to allow therapists who wish to add continuing education techniques to their studies to do so, all with financial support of the Association. With this program, members can receive the equivalent of 50 % of the pre-tax price of the training, up to a maximum of $200 per training. By doing this, Mon Réseau Plus ensures that its members have every tool at their disposal to pursue their specialization and to continue to develop their skills in the field of massage therapy.
Continuing education activities
To introduce courses that contribute to the professional development of its members, the Association has developed the training meetings. With this project, the Association wishes to offer its members an opportunity to upgrade their knowledge regarding the practice of massage therapy and increase the number of training hours . The Training Meetings 2016 will be held in October in three different cities.
The Association provides free webinar programs for all massage therapists. These webinars are an effective and flexible way to inform therapists of the issues surrounding their practice and to support them in the acquisition of tools for the implementation of better professional practices.
Organized for the members of the Association, the formula for this travel-training program is an enjoyable way of learning. Released from their obligations and time constraints, members can truly relax in an all-inclusive trip, while having the opportunity to assist an interesting training program. This is also a great networking opportunity.
The Association is proud of the partnership it has established with insurers. This relationship is ultimately good for members since they are allowed to issue insurance receipts. Insurers view a membership to Mon Reseau Plus as a badge of trust. Also try our digital insurance receipts, developed to the same standards as the paper version to meet the requirements of all insurance companies.
Telephone coaching allows you to get answers to your questions about your practice as well as precious advice. This service is provided by experienced therapists ensuring assistance in less than an hour, five days a week.
Mon Réseau Plus provides its members with a wealth of information and reference documentation which can be useful to a therapist who is getting started as well as experienced therapists. Examples of documents include:
various examples of contracts;
a health questionnaire;
legal information necessary for your practice;
reference documents dealing with administration and accounting;
guidance documents on various employment status (employee, self-employed, owner);
reference documents to develop an effective resume;
a business plan template.
Free of charge for all Mon Reseau Plus members, the digital customer files service allows the therapist to produce customer files online from a computer, a digital tablet or a smartphone. Health questionnaires, customer details, therapeutic follow-up; everything was designed to ease record management and be paper-free!
