Accueil » Professional Skills Assessment Program (PSAP)
The concept of competence revolves around the capacity of a person to assume professional and personal responsibilities in the exercise of his or her profession.
In general, professional competence can be defined as the ability of a professional to use his or her knowledge, skills and judgment to interact with clients.
What is PSAP?
The Professional Skills Assessment Program is intended for therapists who are not currently members of the Association and would like to become one. It finds its purpose in the following two principles:
A therapist is entitled to the assessment of his competences when evidence of his training is provided;
A therapist does not have to relearn what he already knows.
The assessment of massage therapy skills is an approach that allows an official assessment and recognition of the required skills learned in program of a minimum of 400 hours. The therapist must pass a theoretical exam to demonstrate his professional ethics and client approach knowledge. He will also need to demonstrate practical skills in the following three aspects:
At the end of the procedure, the successful therapist will receive a written acknowledgement of his acceptance as a member of the Association. If certain skills are to be acquired, in whole or in part, to attain the required level, the candidate must take the necessary training in one of the academic intuitions recognized by the Association. This program allows Mon Reseau Plus to ensure that the candidates meet our ethical standards, practical skills and client approach, in an effort to protect the public.
It is important to note that the PSAP will not issue a training diploma to therapists and that candidates can only benefit from the PSAP for trainings where they already have a certificate.
